With a passion for creating entertaining + aesthetically appealing designs to showcase not just livestock projects, but the personalities of the exhibitors showing them, the breeders breeding them + the show hosts hosting them - Chrissy Maxwell founded Stock Signs + Designs (unintentionally) while creating designs she felt so passionate about for her daughters during their 4-H careers.

Using custom designed high-quality visuals that capture + reflect the hard work, meaning + emotion for youth livestock exhibitors, agriculturally based businesses, projects + events - a hobby that started as a creative outlet turned into an unexpected career path change + life path pivot.

Today, Stock Signs + Designs has grown from a local passion serving local 4-H clubs, FFA Chapters + livestock Breeders, into a dedicated creative partner for clients Internationally.

ss+d doesn’t just "make signs” - we do the research, we take the time to educate our staff + designers to understand breed specifics, theme characteristics, design techniques + digitally captivating ways to enhance the overall look + feel of EVERY. SINGLE. DESIGN we create!

With the popularity of AI in today’s world (and not the kind that us livestock breeders are most familiar with), our skillset is occasionally questioned, but then we remember our purpose. We remember our WHY - and HOW we started. AI doesn’t understand that, but ss+d does! Every employee at ss+d has been on one side of the Show Ring, Sale Barn or Show Barn at one time or another + they bring that knowledge, passion + GRIT to their skillset. I may carry the “boss-lady” title, but we’re a team + we all bring a little “somethin’ special” to the table here at ss+d! We are proud of the milestones we’ve hit + are constantly looking toward the next horizon in design excellence.

I continue to push myself to make Stock Signs + Designs a little bigger, and a whole LOT better each day than it was the day before!
